Trauma Recovery Intensive
in Searcy and Rogers, Arkansas
Focused time to understand the impact of painful experiences, begin the work of healing, and move toward greater freedom and lasting change.

When the Past Keeps Showing Up in the Present
Painful experiences don’t always stay in the past. They can continue to shape how you feel, how you see yourself, how you respond to others, and the patterns you find yourself repeating—even when you understand intellectually that you want things to be different.

At ReGroup Counseling, we believe healing involves more than simply learning to manage symptoms or trying to leave the past behind. It begins with understanding how your experiences have shaped you, addressing the wounds that continue to affect your life, and creating the safety and support needed for meaningful change.

The good news is this: what happened to you does not have to determine what comes next. Healing is possible, and sometimes having dedicated time to focus on the work can help you begin moving forward in a different way.
What can you expect to gain?
During your intensive, we’ll work together to help you:

✓ Understand the Impact

Begin making sense of how painful or overwhelming experiences may continue to affect your emotions, relationships, beliefs, and patterns today.

✓ Understand Trauma Responses

Learn how your mind and body adapted to painful or overwhelming experiences and begin understanding why certain emotions, reactions, and patterns may continue to show up in your life today.

✓ Experience Meaningful Healing

With focused time and personalized support, you’ll have the opportunity to process painful experiences, address unresolved wounds, and experience meaningful healing that can create real change in how you feel and move forward.

✓ Move Forward Differently
Leave with greater understanding, practical tools, and a clearer sense of how to carry the healing and progress you’ve made into your everyday life and continued recovery.
Why a Therapy
Intensive?
Trauma can affect many parts of your life, and meaningful healing often requires more than simply understanding what happened. In weekly therapy, just as you begin to access important emotions, experiences, or insights, the session may be coming to an end.

A therapy intensive provides extended, focused time to stay with the work at a pace that is both purposeful and responsive to your needs. Rather than repeatedly stopping and starting, you have the opportunity to deepen understanding, process painful experiences, and build on meaningful progress as it happens.

Although an intensive may not resolve all of your trauma in a day or two, it is an opportunity to do meaningful healing work and create real progress that can continue long after the intensive ends.

Your Intensive Experience
Pre-Intensive Assessment and Planning Session
Before your intensive begins, we’ll meet for a one-hour session to learn more about your current situation, answer your questions, and clarify your goals. This conversation allows your therapist to begin tailoring the intensive specifically to your needs so your time together is focused, intentional, and meaningful from the moment you arrive.
You’ll Be Heard
Your story matters. You’ll have space to share what you’ve experienced and how it has affected your life without being rushed, judged, or reduced to what happened to you.

You’ll Feel Understood
Trauma can affect people in ways that are often difficult to explain—even to themselves. We’ll help you make sense of your experiences and responses with compassion, curiosity, and respect.

You’ll Do Meaningful Healing Work
With extended, focused time, you’ll have the opportunity to move beyond simply talking about what happened and engage in therapeutic work designed to help you process painful experiences and create meaningful change.

You’ll Move Forward with Greater Freedom
Healing doesn’t mean forgetting what happened. It means reducing the power the past continues to have over your present and creating greater freedom in how you feel, respond, relate, and live.

Trauma is deeply personal, and the right therapist matters. Our team includes experienced therapists with specialized training in trauma and a variety of therapeutic approaches designed to help people process painful experiences and create meaningful change.

We’ll help match you with a therapist based on your experiences, needs, goals, and the type of approach that may be most helpful for you. Your intensive will then be personalized around you rather than following a one-size-fits-all process.

You don’t have to know which therapist or therapeutic approach is right for you before reaching out. We’ll help you determine the best fit.
