Jim Galyan is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Harding University. He has worked as a therapist and clinical director in residential and outpatient treatment settings. Jim works with individuals, couples and families, specializing in innovative techniques to serve those struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, chemical and sexual addiction or those who want to get to the next level in life. Jim is a Certified Trauma Therapist (CTT) using creative, experiential and spiritual techniques to help clients heal from trauma. He is also trained to use both Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Brainspotting (BSP) to help resolve trauma, emotional distress, cognitive dissonance, somatic conditions and performance enhancement. As a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT), he uses this certification to work with clients struggling with sexual addiction and dysfunction, as well as their family members who have been impacted. In addition to this certification, Jim has also been trained in sex therapy to help couples work toward healthy sexuality. He is an active member of International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP) . He also is a Multiple Addiction Therapist (CMAT-CD)trained to work with chemical addictions, process addictions, compulsions, and some eating disorders. Paula Butterfield has a Masters degree from Harding University’s Marriage and Family Therapy program and is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a certification in sexual addiction (CSAT) and additional training in EMDR, Brainspotting and Emotionaly Focused Therapy. Paula is married to Ryan Butterfield, a co-founder of The Regroup, and has 4 children. “ I feel honored to get to do what we do each day at ReGroup. Daniel Bontrager is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He has worked as a therapist in residential and outpatient treatment settings. He earned his Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Harding University. Daniel works with individuals and couples and specializes working with those struggling with relationship distress, trauma, chemical addiction, and sexual addiction. Daniel is a Certified Trauma Therapist using creative, experiential, and spiritual techniques to help clients heal from trauma. He is also trained to use both EMDR and Brainspotting to help resolve trauma and emotional distress. Daniel is also a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and uses this certification to work with clients struggling with sexual addiction and pornography as well as their family members that have been affected by the addiction. Daniel frequently works with couples that are have relational issues and utilizes his grad school training in Marriage and Family Therapy and his training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. Jessica is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples, Brainspotting, EMDR, and Conscious Discipline. She brings knowledge of the interconnectedness of mind and body from her background and experience as an occupational therapist. She is currently completing training and requirements to be a Certified Sex Therapist through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT). Jessica is trained in sex addiction and is also an Advanced Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist. Jessica has worked in outpatient and university settings with families, couples, and individuals of all ages with significant experience working with young adults, those navigating psycho-spiritual dilemmas, struggling with anxiety and coping with chronic physical illnesses or disabilities. Joel Hoggard is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Harding University. Joel works with individuals, couples, and families. Joel is a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and has also completed training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Brainspotting (BSP). He believes that the power to change lies within each of us and he works to help clients find their own solutions to some of life’s most challenging problems. As a long-time resident of Searcy, Joel has a strong desire to make his community better one client at a time. His 15+ years of experience in real estate have helped Joel excel in conflict resolution, interpersonal skills, and navigating different communication styles. Joel enjoys building fires in his backyard fire pit and hopes to one day figure out how to incorporate some version of “fire pit therapy” into his practice. Though he’s still learning how to correctly operate a duck call, Joel loves to watch the woods wake up during duck season. Joel and his wife (Emily) have three children (Isabel, Gracie, and Luke). Charlton is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), with an Educational Specialist degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Harding University. Prior to working in a private practice setting, he spent 10 years doing counseling in community mental health, working with children, families and adults in a variety of therapeutic settings. Charlton has extensive experience in managing and de escalating crisis situations, assisting clients in working through anxiety, depression, grief, anger, substance use issues, relational conflict, and life transitions. As a means for effectively healing from trauma, he is trained in EMDR. In therapy, Charlton prefers an eclectic approach which utilizes elements of person-centered, Cognitive-Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused therapeutic techniques. He believes that creating a comfortable and accepting environment for people and building relationships with them is the greatest indicator of positive outcomes. David joined The ReGroup Counseling Clinic in October of 2021. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor with The Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling. His work primarily focuses on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness techniques and interventions, with attention being given to helping clients work through anxiety and trauma. Our “in the moment” awareness of thoughts, narratives, and behaviors is a main focus of David’s practice, as he believes this helps us shape how we live going forward. Focus is given in sessions to dealing with false narratives that have been formed in the past, and that are affecting present behavior and functioning. In addressing anxiety, trauma, and false narratives, David uses EMDR and other related approaches to help his clients understand why and how trauma affects how they think and behave. David sees his work as helping people solve puzzles. He seeks to assist his clients in realizing the specific things are hindering their healing and their forward progress. David is married to Katy, and they have a son, Gabriel. Besides being a counselor, David enjoys playing music, and performing in local theater shows. I’ve worked with clients experiencing a wide range of issues including ADHD, trauma, childhood grief anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and anger issues. People start therapy for various reasons and all of them are equally valid. Forrest is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), certified drug and alcohol counselor (ADC), a certified trauma therapist (CTT), trained in EMDR (specializing in attachment), Brainspotting (BSP), prepare and enrich marriage counseling, and trained as a therapist to treat sexual addiction. He spent more than a decade of his work in full-time ministry serving in both youth and pulpit capacities. At his stop in Clinton, Arkansas he co-founded a therapeutic rehab community for adult men and women struggling with multiple addictions and specialized in reconciliation, connection, and recovery. His personal journey led him back to Harding University where he earned a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. Following graduation he spent time working with adolescent boys and their families at a private inpatient facility doing intensive trauma/relational work. He provides therapy specializing in grief, chemical and process addictions, trauma, anxiety, depression, divorce, relational/couples work. He also performs intensive therapy sessions when needed. Forrest believes therapy is a safe place to learn new solutions to life’s hurts. He helps others find a safe place, an environment to awaken their resources, and then leads them through a healing process producing peace of mind. Tony is a Licensed Professional Counselor with eight years of clinical experience working with families, couples, adults and teenagers to overcome a variety of relational and mental health challenges. Eric is a Licensed Associate Counselor who has lived in Searcy since 1999. Since 2014 he has seen clients as a Clinical Nutritionist and Holistic Lifestyle Coach, and prior to was a Spanish teacher in local high schools. Eric earned a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Master’s in Education from Harding University, and attended Harding University for his undergraduate degree. Eric’s passion in counseling is to work with individuals, couples and families, specializing in holistic strategies to serve those struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and addiction; especially with food and body challenges. Eric is trained or certified in Brainspotting, TF-CBT, Clinical Nutrition and Holistic Lifestyle Coaching. Eric is married to Hannah McMullen, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Yoga Instructor. They have hopes of teaching classes, doing group counseling, and running intensive therapy programs that integrate their passion and understanding of holistic health. Katie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her bachelor’s in social work from Harding University and master’s in social work from UALR. She has worked in mental health since 2018 as a therapist in inpatient and outpatient settings. She has experience working with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, sleep problems, and trauma. Katie specializes in OCD and is trained in Exposure and Response Prevention. Katie is also trained in Brainspotting phase I, clinical trauma interventions, mindfulness-based interventions, and CBT for insomnia. She values her relationship with each individual client and strives to empower them on their own journey towards growth and healing. In addition to her role as office manager, Latisha is currently in school to become a therapist, furthering her dedication to helping others. Outside of work and studies, she enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with her loving children and family.
